Sabeen Ahmed is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles, CA, with her MSW from Columbia University. She has experience in mental health working with children, adults, and families, as well as men with severe mental illnesses in the criminal justice system. She started off her experience in social work working with women who are survivors of intimate partner and gender based violence, and recently worked globally in Lahore, Pakistan, to develop a program for female sex workers to receive training in vocational skills and earn an alternative source of income. Currently, she is serving as a clinical oncology social worker at UCLA Health, with UCLA Simms/Mann Center for Integrative Oncology. She is interested in empowering women who are survivors of GBV and IPV, and is committed to serving populations that are marginalized and stigmatized, through interventions focused on economic empowerment, social justice, and trauma-informed care.
