Dr. Anindita Dasgupta is an Assistant Professor at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University and a social and behavioral scientist whose research examines the intersection of gendered health inequities and sexual and reproductive health among populations of girls and women and birthing people who are marginalized by systems of oppression in New York City, the Middle East, and South Asia. Dr. Dasgupta uses a Reproductive Justice lens in her research to improve reproductive health outcomes through intervention and epidemiologic research. Dr. Dasgupta has also been named a “2024 Changemaker in Family Planning” by the Society of Family Planning. Dr. Dasgupta is the contact PI, with Dr. Louisa Gilbert on the PrEP for WINGS (PFW) study. PFW builds off the original WINGS intervention to incorporate a PrEP Decision Aid tool to promote PrEP uptake, as well as the inclusion of an alcohol SBIRT. PFW is being pilot tested with women engaged in the criminal legal system in New York City.
